February 5, 2025, Northport NY -M.C. Records proudly announces our 5th annual Black History Month playlist. We have included new songs from last year, bringing the total to 15 tracks. Many of these tracks are from our Grammy-nominated recordings and feature music spanning over 25 years of our releases.

Our BHM playlist includes music by Odetta, Guy Davis, Marie Knight, Big Jack Johnson, Sherman Holmes, Wild Child Butler, Robert Jr. Lockwood, Cyril Neville, Pinetop Perkins, Deborah Coleman, The Lee Boys, and Eric Bibb

Every time I put our BHM list I am humbled by the talent that I have had the honor and privilege to work with all these years. This rich collection of African-American music comes from blues, folk, and gospel. I hope you enjoy!

                                        

Since 1976, every U.S. president has officially designated the month of February as Black History Month. Other countries around the world, including Canada and the United Kingdom, also devote a month to celebrating Black history.
